Welcome to NXTRUNN (“we,” “us,” “our”). Protecting your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our platform and services (the “Services”), including our website, our web application and installable progressive web app (PWA), our native mobile applications for iOS and Android (distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play), our partner and business portal at partners.nxtrunn.com, our community and messaging features, our event discovery and ticketing tools, our commerce and merchandise features, our rewards program, and integrated third-party services.

By accessing or using NXTRUNN, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. Information We Collect

a) Personal Information

• Name, display name, username, email address, phone number, city/state, and mailing address
• Account credentials (managed through our authentication provider)
• Profile information such as your photo, biography, running history, membership tier, badges, and other details you choose to share
• Emergency contact information provided during event registration

b) Running, Health, and Fitness Data

• Activities you log, such as run/walk/training stats, pace, distance, duration, routes, and event interests, recorded through The RunnDown
• Recovery logs, training-journal entries, goals, streaks, and performance metrics
• World Majors and race completions tracked through Runn Passport, including finish times and any verification evidence you submit (for example, a results-page link or a finisher-certificate image)
• Destination-race budgets and plans recorded through Race Fund, and pre-run/pre-race checklists

Some of this may be considered sensitive health or fitness information in certain jurisdictions. We treat all health-related data with heightened care. NXTRUNN does not perform continuous background GPS run-tracking; location is collected only when you actively use a location-based feature (see below).

c) Location Data

• Geolocation when you use features such as Cheer Zones, Runners Forecast, event mapping, Run Club Directory “near me,” or Runn Spaces discovery
• Proximity/location used to validate in-person check-ins and group (crew) tap-ins at Runn Spaces, which require participants to be physically present
• Race locations and travel plans recorded through Runn Passport and Race Fund

Location is collected only when you actively use a location-based feature and can be disabled through your device settings. Maps are rendered using a third-party mapping provider (Mapbox).

d) Community, Social, and Rewards Data

• Interactions within the community, including posts, comments, likes, forum activity, follows, run-club group activity, and private messages
• Group memberships, event RSVPs, and participation history
• Runn Spaces reviews, ratings, photos, check-ins, and business interactions
• Rewards activity, including Move Points and Tap Credits balances and transactions, challenge participation, and redemptions

e) Technical, Device, and App Information

• IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and operating system
• How you interact with the Services (pages/screens visited, features used, time spent)
• Mobile-app and PWA data, including push-notification tokens and preferences (delivered via Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging on native apps, and Web Push in browsers), offline-storage data, and device permissions you grant (such as camera, location, or notifications)
• Camera access used by event organizers to scan attendee QR codes at check-in, and to add event imagery
• Apple Wallet / Google Wallet pass data generated for event tickets
• Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5)

f) Payment Information

When you purchase memberships, event tickets, merchandise, or other paid features, payment is handled by third-party processors and we do not store full card numbers:

• Memberships and in-app digital purchases are processed by Apple (In-App Purchase) and Google (Google Play Billing) when bought inside our mobile apps. Apple and Google handle that payment data under their own privacy policies.
• Event tickets, merchandise, and partner/organizer payouts are processed by Stripe (including Stripe Connect for organizer payouts). We may collect billing details and transaction records. See stripe.com/privacy.
• Merchandise fulfillment is handled by Printful, which receives the name and shipping address needed to fulfill your order.

g) Partner and Business Information

If you use the partner portal as a business owner, event organizer, run-club lead, or coach, we collect business and listing information (such as business name, address, hours, contact details, photos, listing content, payout/banking details collected by Stripe Connect, and analytics about your listings, events, and customers).

h) Third-Party and Automated Data

• Information collected when you link third-party services or social accounts to NXTRUNN
• Data from automated messaging tools (such as ManyChat) when you interact with our social channels or messaging flows
• Data from connected fitness applications or services you choose to link

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, operate, personalize, and improve the Services across web, mobile apps, and the partner portal
• Power features such as your run journal, World Majors tracking, events, run clubs, Runn Spaces, cheer zones, forecasts, and calculators
• Facilitate community engagement, messaging, and rewards (Move Points and Tap Credits), including challenges and redemptions
• Process transactions, manage memberships and subscriptions, deliver merchandise, issue event tickets and Wallet passes, and enable organizer payouts
• Operate the partner portal and provide analytics to business and event partners
• Send updates, announcements, transactional messages, and marketing (you may opt out of marketing at any time)
• Provide location-based features only when you use them
• Protect the security and integrity of the platform, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms
• Comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes

3. How We Share Your Information

We share information only when necessary:

a) With Service Providers

We share information with trusted vendors who help us operate, including hosting and database providers, authentication, payment and payout processors (Apple, Google, Stripe), merchandise fulfillment (Printful), mapping (Mapbox), email delivery (Amazon SES), automated messaging (ManyChat), analytics, and customer support. They are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only to provide services to us.

b) With Event and Business Partners

When you register for or buy tickets to events managed through NXTRUNN on behalf of partner organizations (such as Black Unicorn Marathoners or other organizers), your registration data is shared with and owned by that organizer. NXTRUNN acts as a data processor for event-specific data under a Data Processing Agreement with each partner; the organizer is the data controller and is responsible for their own privacy practices. When you interact with a business listing or claim/operate one, relevant information is shared with the business owner.

c) Within the NXTRUNN Community

Your profile, posts, reviews, and public activity may be visible to other members. Private messages are visible only to the participants. You can control profile visibility in your account settings.

d) For Legal Compliance

We may disclose information to comply with laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests, and to protect the rights, safety, and security of NXTRUNN, our users, and the public.

e) Business Transfers

In a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify users of any such change in ownership or control of personal information.

4. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and Update: View or update your profile and details in your account settings.
• Data Deletion: Request deletion of your account or personal information, subject to legal obligations. If you registered for an event through NXTRUNN, the organizer may retain that registration data independently.
• Data Portability: Request a copy of your personal data (such as run logs, journal entries, and profile information) in a common format.
• Opt Out of Marketing: Unsubscribe from marketing emails, push notifications, or automated messaging at any time.
• Location: Disable location features through your device settings at any time.
• Cookies and Tracking: Manage preferences through your browser settings.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, analyze usage, and serve relevant content. Our web app and PWA may store data locally on your device for offline functionality and performance. You can control or disable cookies in your browser, but some features may be affected.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. Health and fitness data, location data, and payment information receive additional protections appropriate to their sensitivity. No method of transmission or storage is entirely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes in this Policy or to comply with legal obligations. If you delete your account, we securely erase your data except where retention is legally required. Event-registration data processed for partner organizations is retained and deleted under our Data Processing Agreements with those partners.

8. Data Processing for Event and Business Partners

• For event registrations and ticketing handled on behalf of an organizer, the organizer is the Data Controller and NXTRUNN acts as the Data Processor.
• Partners are responsible for their own privacy policies governing how they use registrant or customer data.
• Data Processing Agreements govern the security, use, and deletion of data processed on behalf of partners.
• If you have questions about how an organizer or business uses your data, please contact them directly.

9. State-Specific Privacy Rights

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. NXTRUNN does not sell your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact trust@nxtrunn.com.

Other State Privacy Laws

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and others) may have additional rights. Contact trust@nxtrunn.com to exercise any applicable rights.

10. International Users

NXTRUNN is based in the United States and processes data primarily in the US. If you access the Services from outside the US, your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the US. For users in the EEA, UK, or other jurisdictions with data-protection laws, we process data based on legitimate interests, contractual necessity, or your consent, and you have additional rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and portability. 11. Children’s Privacy

NXTRUNN is not intended for individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact trust@nxtrunn.com to remove it.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

Our Services may link to third-party websites and services, including payment processors (Apple, Google, Stripe), the Apple App Store and Google Play, mapping providers, social platforms, partner and event websites, and fitness applications. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; please review their policies.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted here with a new “Last Updated” date. For material changes, we will notify users through the platform or via email.
